25 May Road construction and detours: Alternative routes to Scheiderer Farms
Road construction and detours are everywhere and there is soon to be one just up the road from us.
State Route 38 will be closed between 736 and Boerger Rd. starting Thursday May 24th for 51 days. I have to admit when I first found out about the closure I was a bit discouraged but now that I’ve had time to think about it the detour will actually enhance your visit to Scheiderer Farms. How can an annoying detour possibly be a positive? The detour will give you the opportunity to unwind as you enjoy the rural beauty our area is known for. You will pass historic St. John’s church and drive down Kandel Rd. which is the road I grew up riding my bike on. At that time it was a narrow dusty gravel and tar road that saw little traffic.
If you are headed south on 38 from Marysville turn left on Route 736, then just before St. John’s church turn right on Kandel Rd. At the end of Kandel you will turn right on Rausch Rd, then the next right will put you back on 38. We are just over the hill a short distance down the road on the right.
If you are coming from the Columbus area on 33, get off on Scottslawn and make a left. Take Scottslawn until it dead ends into 736 and make a right. You will make a left on Kandel Rd just after you pass St. John’s, then a right on Rausch and a right on 38 will have you here in no time. This is the fastest way to our place anyway!
When you come to see us make sure you take in the rural beauty! It’s what made Marysville and Union county great and it’s who we are at Scheiderer Farms! If you still can’t find us – Google!
